As you might already have seen on instagram, I went crazy with quinoa sushi yesterday. So I thought that I would be fun to share with you some pictures of “the making of”…
THE MAIN INGREDIENTS FOR THE FILLING
SPICY TUNA ROLL
Shred the tuna with a sharp knive and mix with a home made hot sauce (Mayonnaise with Sambal Oelek) + Avocado Slices
MANGO & AVOCADO ROLL
SPICY TUNA ROLLS, MANGO & AVOCADO ROLLS and SALMON & CUCUMBER ROLLS
Do not hesitate to make them yourself! You will need some time but it is totally worth it! They are heavenly!
You can find the basic recipe on my blog: http://wp.me/p4sdXz-1A
– I recommend buying a sushi roll mat before you try! Quinoa is not as sticky as regular sushi rice, not even after adding rice vinegar. This will make them extra hard to roll.
– For this amount of sushi rolls, I used 275 grams of multi-color quinoa here and added approximately 425 ml of water.
– Make sure your knife is really sharp before trying to cut the roll. It is also easier if your knife is clean and wet. So rinse it regularly.
